Adam Ely

With nearly 15 years of experience designing custom automation and assembly equipment, Adam has built solutions for customers across the transportation, consumer products, and life sciences industries. His first project—a hipot tester stand for a transmission ECM—launched a career centered on solving complex problems and turning ideas into precise, reliable machines.

Adam joined Southern Tooling in 2025 and immediately connected with the company’s culture of humble expertise, craftsmanship, and practical problem-solving. He blends incredible design capabilities with a strong customer-facing approach—regularly visiting facilities, refining concepts with end users, and ensuring each solution meets real-world needs. For Adam, great equipment comes from collaboration, clarity, and staying close to the customer from start to finish.

At home, Adam and his wife of 17 years spend their evenings in the joyful chaos of raising two young boys: Nerf battles, games, wrestling matches, and well-worn storybooks. “All in all,” he says, “these are great days.”
